Compare Apple Pencil and Apple Pencil 2!

I'm going to compare Apple Pencil 1 and Apple Pencil 2 today.


Now we can use the Apple Pencil in the iPad mini series too
after the launch of the iPad mini 5.

Of course I thought it would be compatible with Apple Pencil 2,
but it is compatible with the Apple Pencil 1.

It supports Apple Pencil 2 only on 3rd generation iPad Pro 12.9 and iPad Pro 11.

I have tried both 1st and 2nd generation.

Let's look at the differences between Apple Pencil1 and Apple Pencil2.

Design

2nd generation Pencil is all white unlike the 1st generation Apple Pencil.

1st generation Pencil has the whole round cylinder shape.

In 2nd generation, the one side was cut, and the grip was improved with the angled shape.

It is designed to stick to the side of the iPad well!

The 2nd generation Pencil weighs 18g, which is 2.7g lighter than the previous generation(20.7g).

Price

Apple Pencil Original : $99

Apple Pencil 2nd generation : $129

The price of the 2nd generation Pencil is $30 more expensive than 1st generation.

The 2nd generation supports free engraving service.

How To Charge

The way of 1st generation Pencil is to charge with the back of the pencil

by plugging directly into the iPad.

At first I thought it was a very simple way,

but there was also a worrying part where the charging port was broken.

The 2nd generation Pencil compensate for this,

So the way of charging was changed!

If you attach a sharpened section of pencil to the top of iPad,

it will be charged automatically!

I think this is the biggest advantage of 2nd generation Pencil!

but, I was sorry about the price of Pencil,

incompatible with existing pad and 2nd generation Pencil,

Noise of the nib.

However, I can solve the noise problem with shrink tube work.
